Odyssey RPG

First topic message reminder :

Here is the official Odyssey RPG. Each person will tell part of the story and.... well, you know how it goes.

First Entry:

Jason crept into the dark room, his eyes adjusting to the pitch blackness that surrounded him. He fumbled around for a light-switch, but there was none. How had he come to reside in this place? What had happened. Questions raced through his mind, but he had no answers. Suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his head. He clutched it in agony.

So, have at it!
One note, though, please make sure to only use real Odyssey characters, that will make this much easier. (Villians are the exception)

"Super" Jason said.

Suddenly he felt tremors on the ground under him.

A fire alarm went off

About 200 car alarms went off.

A crashing sound reverberated all around him.

Suddenly there were no longer walls around our intrepid hero, he became engulfed in a sea of dust.

Over the phone line Jason heard Monica's scream.

Monica: Jason?! Jason, can you hear me?!!!

Jason: *moan*

Monica: JASON! SOMETHING'S HAPPEN---

Monica's voice suddenly fades away as Jason slowly rises up from the dust & debris in which he was lying.

Jason: I knew Cingular had bad phones... Wait, what just happened?

Looking around, Jason sees that he is now outside. Around him is all sorts of debris. Broken chairs, computer parts, & a clown mask are found lying in this large open area; Jason can see the Odyssey Jail in the distance.

Jason: Monica... I was talking to Monica... She said something was happening...

Jason begins sprinting toward the Odyssey Jail.



And falls over a table lying in his path.

Jason: I think I might need to rest here for a second...

Connie: Whit, what's happening outside?

Outside Whit's End, a large throng of people are running all in the same direction, as if fleeing from danger.

Whit: We'd better check.

Whit & Connie run outside, but are almost trampled by the crowd.

Whit (yelling): WHAT'S GOING ON?! WHAT ARE YOU RUNNING FRO---

Connie: *gasp* Whit! Look over there! What is that?!

Whit: Connie, get back inside Whit's End! NOW!

Connie: Where are you going?!

Whit: Just get inside Whit's End!

Whit begins running with the large crowd of people, trying desperately to keep up with their pace.

Whit: I'm not as young as I used to be...

Whit: What??? The jail is suddenly sinking into the ground?!?
Connie: Aw Whit your just hallucinating with all the... whaaaa... Woah! Whit your right. Out of my way!!!
Whit: Connie don't push me at such a tragic time, my stature is to frail for your violence on my person.

*Both watch as the Jail slowly sinks into the ground*

"Nooooooo!" Jason cries as he gazes out the window at the disator scene.

"Hush up!" growls the man, he just reappeared and is holding a rather large gun.

"But, you don't understand Mr. Bazooka, that's the jail where Monica is! She is the only one who can get this safe open!" Jason looks frantic.

"Give me a break, wimp. She's right behind you."

Jason turned around, shocked to see Monica standing behind him. Here arms were tied tightly behind her back, and she looked like she had been through a lot. The look on her face was.... heart wrenching.

Monica: Jason, what's all this about? Why is this goon pinning my arms behind my back?

Goon: *arghhhh*

Jason: I think he works for the company I was describing...

Mr. T: ...Which shall remain nameless for now. Now, Monica, do you have lock-picking experience?

Monica: Yes... but I seem to have left my résumé behind.

Mr. T: Well, with the way Mr. Whitaker here has described your capabilities, I don't think I need your résumé.

Monica: Well, I hope in this case that's a good thing.

Mr. T: Are you ready to open the safe?
