Narnia movies
Here you can discuss The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian to your hearts' content. Which do you like more? Why do you like that one? Are you looking forward to the third movie?

Re: Narnia movies
I preferred the new movie of LWW to PC, and I am eagerly anticipating the third installment!

Re: Narnia movies
Why do you prefer PC to LWW? It was quite different from the book! It had a few plot elements that I think would have been better left out.

Re: Narnia movies
So, the Narnia movies. These are some things that are very dear to me because Narnia was the first fantasy series that I came to love, so it is very special to me.
As for the movies, well, they were actually pretty good. I did enjoy the first one and the second one, however, there was alot of stuff that could have been added and alot of stuff that could have been left out. I would personnally not make it cannon, as it dosen't follow the story closely enough, however, overall the movies were good. I am eagerly anticipateing the third movie release.

Re: Narnia movies
In my opinion it was too bad that PC didn't follow the book very well, but I didn't really mind so I greatly enjoyed the movie!

Re: Narnia movies
In and of itself, PC was excellent. As a movie that was trying to emulate a book... not so excellent. Did you hear that Disney is not going to help Walden Media produce the rest of them? I read it somewhere. It's sad

Re: Narnia movies
LWW was true to the book and wasn't bad or anything... but it definitely to me came off as more of a kids movie (and I guess it is a kids book, so...)... but Prince Caspian I enjoyed quite a bit more. It just had a lot more serious tone and I enjoyed it a ton.
I realise it was not true to the book, and I know it can be frustrating, but it has been so many years since I have read the series that I didn't really notice anything. Though I hear something about a kiss...

PC was way too dark and serious for me. I did like the night raid, though! I am big into subterfuge, espionage, and infiltration of fortresses... mwahaha... I prefer the lighter-hearted LWW overall, though. I guess I'm a literary purist-- one who prefers the movies to be almost exactly like the books. (Although that probably isn't the definition of literary purist... hm...)
I am looking forward to someday viewing Voyage of the Dawn Treader!

Re: Narnia movies
I liked the Lion, THe Witch, and the Wardrobe much much better than Prince Caspian. They kinda... messed up with PC.
The movies, even though they follow the books, as LWW does closely, they are a far cry from the books. The books were boring to read. The movies were REALLY exciting to watch. I loved both, and I can't wait for the next one!

Re: Narnia movies
in PC the book Susan and Caspian DON'T FALL IN LOVE! that made me mad when they did in the movie. In the book they also don't attack Caspian 1-9's castle.
