Snow!
Sooo, we finally have snow in my area. Any where ya'll are? Here is a song I wrote - sorta, about the day. To be sung to the tune of "White Christmas"
I'm dreaming of a snow-white week,
Just like the ones we've never had.
Where the main roads slicken'
And children listen, to hear
School closings on the radio.
I'm dreaming of a snow-white week
With every school assignment I write
May your day be diligent and nice
And may this whole week, be white.
Snow
I looked outside my window.
“It’s snowing!” I said.
I put on my warmest clothes,
Boots, scarf, coat, hats and snow pants.
I went outside and saw a blanket of snow
I shovel the steps and I built a snowman.
He looked just like me!
Then my next-door neighbor came
And he helped me build a fort and we played snowball fight.
I had a long day playing in the snow.
When my next-door neighbor went home,
I went inside and I saw hot chocolate sitting at the table,
Waiting for me.
((it's a poem. I hope you'll like it!))

Wow! Two poems about snow within one hour, and at the end of January!
Well, I lack creative poetic inspiration, so here is my best work:

Roses are red;
Violets are blue.
The sky is white, also
Ground, trees, and snow (rhymes with blue?).

Hmmm, only if you pronounced snow "sneeew"
What if you said,
Roses are red;
Violets are blue
The sky is clear white
Snow showers are too.
Bricks are dark red,
Pansies can vary
Tree trunks are brown
Black, sometimes scary
Snow covers it all
A blanket of white
"Keep falling", you flakes
Gentle peace lies in sight.
Re: Snow!
*raises her hand*
It snowed here! About three inches. It was amazing. My classes were canceled, so I got to play in the snow!
Tonight it's just freezing rain, so it'll be nice and slippery tomorrow. We've had a 'winter mix' all day, I don't know if this'll be the end of it or not.
*Doesn't have a poem or song*
