What do you think of substitute teachers? Are they better than the normal ones?

Although I am not public schooled I do take one class at the highschool, and we have not had a substitute. However I would think that substitute teachers would not be as good because they don't know the students and those who don't work as much usually will play off of them.

Wow, that would be strange. "Hi, I'm your substitute teacher/mom today" Hmmm, I'd have to think about that. In our Science class, though, I substitute teacher was the author of our textbook! It was a lot of fun! (Dr. Wile, if any of you use apologia text).

I think that substitutes cannot teach better than a regular teacher. They enter a classroom that respects them even less than a regular teacher.

Perhaps, though, a substitute can teach in a different way. If the teaching style of the regular teacher is stiff and boring, a substitute could entertain and captivate the students' attention.

My aunt is a substitute teacher at my cousin's school. Since I am homeschooled, I have never had a substitute (unless you count my dad).

teaching wise a substitute isnt really better than the normal teacher, but attention-keeping wise sometimes subs are more interesting
